May 25 2019 (Steven O’Reilly) – It is becoming clearer every day that the whole origin of the Russian collusion scandal was an orchestrated, illegal spying operation that targeted presidential-candidate Trump and which later developed into an attempted soft coup against a sitting president. While more facts need to uncovered, all Americans should be concerned that there is a strong possibility a cabal of senior intelligence and law enforcement officials marshaled national intelligence assets, both human and technical, for corrupt motives. It is doubtful they could have or would have done so without direction from elected officials.
This scandal brings my thoughts back to an open letter addressed to the incoming Trump administration in January 2017. This letter appeared in the Remnant Newspaper (see “A Vatican-Democratic Party Alliance? (Catholics Ask Trump Administration to Investigate“). This letter, in part, noted:
“We were alarmed to discover that, during the third year of the first term of the Obama administration your previous opponent, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and other government officials with whom she associated proposed a Catholic “revolution” in which the final demise of what was left of the Catholic Church in America would be realized.[1] Approximately a year after this e-mail discussion, which was never intended to be made public, we find that Pope Benedict XVI abdicated under highly unusual circumstances and was replaced by a pope whose apparent mission is to provide a spiritual component to the radical ideological agenda of the international left. [2] The Pontificate of Pope Francis has subsequently called into question its own legitimacy on a multitude of occasions. [3]”
This open letter (NB: see Roma Locuta articles here and here as well) asked a number of questions which are still pertinent today. A couple of these questions included: “To what end was the National Security Agency monitoring the conclave that elected Pope Francis?” [4] and “What other covert operations were carried out by US government operatives concerning the resignation of Pope Benedict or the conclave that elected Pope Francis?”
As the open letter reports, we know from wikileaks emails that Democratic Party operatives wanted a “Catholic Spring” in the Church (also see here, here, here), with one individual writing: “There needs to be a Catholic Spring, in which Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship and the beginning of a little democracy and respect for gender equality in the Catholic church.” Clearly, a traditional Catholic Church, hierarchy and pope are obstacles to a vision of a society which is pro-abortion, promotes homosexual marriage and transgenderism, focuses on the climate and environmentalism, desires a nation without borders, etc. In short, a vision of a de-Christianized western civilization which is atheistic or safely pantheistic, i.e., one where truth is relative.
In light of this, the election of Pope Francis raises an eyebrow. He is a Democrat politician’s – or a European politician’s – dream pope. He has muted the Catholic voice on abortion (see here), saying as he did months after his election: “…It is not necessary to talk about these issues all the time. The dogmatic and moral teachings of the church are not all equivalent. The church’s pastoral ministry cannot be obsessed with the transmission of a disjointed multitude of doctrines to be imposed insistently…“. He has removed members of the Pontifical Academy of Life (see here, and here) and put in place new ones, and removed the requirement that members sign a pro-life declaration (see here). Along with the muting of opposition to abortion, there is the clouding over of the Church’s traditional teaching regarding homosexuality and transgenderism (e.g., the Pope’s favoring of Fr. James Martin SJ, and the Pope’s “who am I to judge?” statement). Then there is the Pope’s focus on leftist causes, such as open borders and climate change, etc. There is no need to give a run down of how Francis checks so many of the boxes of the liberal/leftist/masonic wish list for a dream pope. Indeed his election was greeted with cheers from masonic leaders (see examples on OnePeterFive here). How is that possible? Pope Francis is the pope every leftist/liberal/masonic politician in the US and in the West could have wanted as an ally — and tool — to remake Western civilization. How did this come to be?
Certainly, the Church has been in a state of decline, and has been since before Vatican II. The loss of priests and nuns, the homosexual and pedophile scandals, the Modernist infestation of theology, liturgical changes and abuses, and a long list of other disasters have all taken their toll on the Church, and scourged it. On top of all this, the dismal record of recent popes in appointing so many weak and or Modernist bishops and cardinals, in human terms, certainly increased the odds someone like Jorge Bergoglio might one day, perhaps inevitably, be elected pope.
Still, I wonder. Pope Francis is, no doubt, the pope that “they” dreamed of — across the board. I cannot think of how “they” could improve the mould in order to get a pope better suited for their agenda. Thus, for me (and I am quite sure others), the question floating out there is, did “they” do anything to make their dreams come true? Did they give a tottering edifice a nudge.
The wikileak emails, going back to 2012, show there was at least some discussion of a grass roots, bottoms-up type revolution in the Catholic Church to effect a “Catholic Spring.” The drawback of a grass roots effort is that it takes many people and resources to accomplish the goal — as well as the precious resource of time. It takes time. Revolution is more quickly and efficiently accomplished from the top down. Yes, revolution is more quickly accomplished from the top down — especially in an organization as ordered and structured on obedience as is the Catholic Church.
“They” wanted a revolution. What if “they” had the means to accomplish such a top-down revolution, would they try it? Oh, come on! “They” wouldn’t dare try to unseat a pope and interfere in the election of his successor. They might want a Church more friendly to their agenda, surely…but that is where they would stop. Surely. Right? Surely, they would not be so corrupt and Machiavellian as to be willing to dare try to unseat a pope and conspire in electing one “they” would prefer. We’re talking about the papacy! “They” would not do that. “They” are not capable of such a thing….or are they?
This brings me back to where I started this article — “investigating the investigators” in the Russia Collusion hoax. As the evidence in this phase of the “Russia Collusion” scandal develops, we have learned and are still learning more about the origin of the collusion hoax. It is becoming ever clearer – if not indeed certain – that a cabal of Clinton campaign, DNC, Obama Administration officials conspired to concoct the Steele Dossier and use it as a pretext to spy on the Trump campaign, and later as a weapon in a soft coup against President Trump. A couple things stand out to me.
1. The operation against Trump was run at the highest levels of the government and intelligence community so that this intelligence operation would be “off the books,” so to speak, excluding rank and file participation in the operation for obvious reasons.
2. Reporting over the last year suggests that the UK and Australia (see here, here, here, here, here) may have willing and active accomplices in the effort to stop Trump. If so, they may not have been the only foreign actors involved in this effort.
If the evidence from the investigations and declassification does substantiate this picture, it would obviously demonstrate the “deep state” (i.e., the cabal mentioned above – i.e, the “they”) illegally used U.S. national intelligence assets, human and technical, against U.S. persons – inclusive of a presidential candidate and later a sitting president – to further their partisan, corrupt and nefarious purposes. If foreign intelligence agencies and governments were involved, it obviously means the cabal was an international one, an international “they” who shared a common world view…one without against a Trump agenda…and could co-ordinate to achieve that goal.
What does this mean with regard to the election of Pope Francis? Possibly nothing. However, if “they” would dare to interfere in a US presidential election and then a soft coup, why would one think them incapable of interfering with a reigning pontiff and then a conclave? Forget grass roots efforts to create a “Catholic Spring”! If one is so inclined to desire a “Catholic” revolution and willing and having the means to do something about it, the quicker route — one with more bang for the buck — would be to unseat a pope and influence a papal conclave using intelligence capabilities, perhaps those of several nations.
Certainly, the Deep State’s plot against Trump demonstrates a willingness to engage the apparatus of the American intelligence system, likely with aid of foreign powers, to pursue a common and corrupt goal. Thus, if “they” interfered with a U.S. presidential election and attempted to defeat and then unseat Trump for their nefarious interests and motives, might “they” have joined together to interfere in the 2013 papal election for a common purpose, and possibly act to unseat a pope?
“They” acted against a man (Trump) lawfully running for president of the world’s greatest superpower, and later engaged in a soft coup against him. It is not hard to imagine that “they” would likewise be capable of using the national security apparatus to influence a conclave of a tiny city-state in hopes of seating on the Throne of St. Peter a pope more suited to their partisan worldview. Such an operation wouldn’t even have to bother with FISA warrants.
When you consider the likes of McCarrick, and other Cardinals who have the shadow of sexual scandals and or financial impropriety surrounding them, one wonders about many of the other cardinals. Indeed, the College of Cardinals seems to be a target rich environment for a devastating combination of bribery and blackmail operations [5], all designed to influence the results of a conclave. Compared to a soft coup against President Trump, influencing a papal election is not so daunting a task. All it would take would be a cabal with the will and the means at their disposal to engage in such activities. Various actors in the “Collusion Plot” against Trump have already demonstrated themselves willing to do what it takes — with the means at their disposal — to get their way. Might they have acted to bring down a pope and elect one more compliant with their ideals? Knowing what we know now about what “they” did to Trump — and are learning day to day — do we really think them incapable of it?
