Roma Locuta Est Considers: Benepapism and the Munus vs. Ministerium (Episode IV)

February 14, 2023 (Steven O’Reilly) – A couple of weeks ago, Roma Locuta Est announced a forthcoming video series “Roma Locuta Est Considers” which will from time to time discuss various topics. The first set of videos is covering the topic of Benepapism.  The first videos of the series are focused on the debate over the munus vs. the ministerium in Benedict’s Declaratio.

This series is based on compilations of Roma Locuta Est articles rebutting Benepapist claims in detail (see Summa contra BiP, the Case Against those who claim Benedict is (still) pope, and the Summa contra Andrea Cionci), as well as being based on additional research found in my recently published boook, Valid? The Resignation of Pope Benedict XVI which is available on Amazon (Kindle and paperback), and as of February 4, 2023, through other book stores and distributors (e.g., Barnes & Noble).  I am honored to say that his excellency Bishop Athanasius Schneider wrote the Foreword for this book.

Overall, this new series is entitled Roma Locuta Est Considers, with the first series of videos devoted to the topic of Benepapism. The first video (Episode I), “Benepapism: Introduction.” was “officially” released a couple weeks ago. Episode II (Part began a five part series on Benepapism and the questions surrounding the “munus vs. the ministerium.”  Below, Roma Locuta Est now “officially releases” Episode IV the most recent addition to the 3 of 5 part series on the question of the munus vs. ministerium question.  See below:

Other coming videos will complete the munus vs. ministerium series.  In addition, other coming videos will look at Canon 17, and Benedict’s Last Audience, and their place in the Benepapist controversy.

Roma Locuta Est describes itself as the blog “the world little notes, nor will not long remember.” Even so, I hope those who take the time to watch the series will find it helpful. Viewers are encouraged to send comments or questions to the email addresses for me below. Other topics may eventually be covered as well, such as the 2013 conclave, the Crucifixion Darkness, the Resurrection, etc.  Again, I hope viewers will find the series helpful.
