The Conor Gallagher Show: Discussion of Benepapist Theories

February 9, 2026 (Steven O’Reilly) – I recently appeared on the Conor Gallagher Show to discuss the problems with the various Benepapist theories regarding Pope Benedict XVI’s resignation, and to discuss why Benedict XVI’s resignation was, in fact, valid.

Some of the topics addressed include claims Benedict was forced out; the shut off of Vatican ATMs, the claim Benedict ‘partially resigned’, the Ratzinger Code, the 2013 conclave, etc.

I want to thank Conor Gallagher for the invitation to come to TAN Books to appear in studio on his show.  I greatly enjoyed meeting him, his wife, and his team at TAN Books.

Those interested in the topic can also find additional detail in my book, see here:  Valid? The Resignation of Pope Benedict XVI.  Also, one can find articles on the resignation on this blog HERE.  My articles on the conclave may be found in the Conclave Chronicles, some of which was discussed on Mr. Gallagher’s show.
